Cremation
In cremation - also called urn burial - the deceased is incinerated (cremated) in a crematorium and this is followed by burial of the ashes within an urn. A funeral service normally takes place beforehand to give the bereaved the chance to say goodbye. The funeral service can be performed either before incineration with the coffin or after cremation with the urn.
The urn can also be buried anonymously or kept at home (permission required) if this is what the deceased person wanted or if costs are to be kept to a minimum.
