Certification of the death by the MA 15 – the Public Health Services of the City of Vienna
The certification of the death establishes that death has occurred and determines the cause. In certain special cases, this certification must be conducted by a public health officer, but usually your district doctor will take care of it. The MA 15 is the City of Vienna’s central authority for death certification and is responsible for issuing death certificates in Vienna.
